Sweet Madness
by Peter Dukes

Who doesn’t love Harley Quinn? Well, wait, I think the better question here is, who doesn’t know who Harley Quinn is? Well, folks, I think you guys better get to learning since Harley Quinn is about to become a huge trend.

Peter Dukes definitely sees the potential in this crazy, yet lovely, lady and showcases a glimpse into the heart and ever-maddening soul that is Harley Queen in his latest indie short, Sweet Madness. At only eleven minutes long, a well-written story unfolds that leaves you captivated from start to finish.

The mayor’s family is being held hostage by Harley and she’ll only let them go when her demands are met. The police follow through and deliver a certain mysterious someone to her who’s been imprisoned at Arkham. I’m not going to give any spoilers away on this, but I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to guess who it is.

There’s a fabulous ending to this short and Dukes masters the art of subtlety and storytelling in minimal time. Madeleine Wade is an excellent Harley. With just the right amount of adorable meets absurdity, she truly is the sweet madness of the film.

I’d recommend Sweet Madness to all fans of Harley, The Joker, and the rest of the gang for sure. While not completely fitting into the horror genre specifically, I’d definitely say it finds its home somewhere in between psychological horror and fanaticism.

So give it a go, head over to YouTube and watch Sweet Madness today!
