Queensryche: Ambiance And Chaos
September 5, 2026.
Tonight is the first assignment after the passing of our friend and Editor in Chief, Ken Gallant.
This one is for you and Sandra.
The air is slightly cool as Summer comes to a close in Las Vegas. The zombies of Generation X have gathered in the court to see the mighty royal Queensryche.
When the house lights fell, the band erupted into the familiar fanfare of Queen Of The Ryche.
Todd LaTorre, who has been the vocalist for a couple decades now, unleashes his own power into this classic work of art.
Michael "The Whip" Wilton lashes out vehemently on his leads as "new guys" Mike Stone rips on rhythm and lead guitar and Casey Grillo summons the Thunder god.
Standing stoecally in the back, surveying the scene is the majestic Eddie Jackson, Bass guitar extrodinaire. His tone reaches into your soul and hits you in the gut.
This chaos continues through the night as they send you through a time warp, with endless classics like Operation: Mindcrime, Take Hold Of The Flame, and Best I Can.
Each musician with their christened instruments, raining down musical notes like a violent hail storm!
That's just the beginning.
The middle of the story is like a nightmare come true. Thrilling ambiance takes hold as they run through numbers like Neue Regal, Silent Lucidity, and Screaming In Digital.
It's like being caught in a matrix, circa 1987, with no way out... And loving it!
But like all good things and reigns, they must come to an end... but it's not a quiet exit for Queensryche. They're letting you know who still rules the rock n roll realm.
Enter the ever extrodinairy encore of Anarchy X/ Revolution Calling, Empire, and Eyes Of A Stranger.
Hit after neck bruising hit.
Queensryche always makes the heart beat, fist pump, and make a show of horns in the sea of new and old fans and followers.
The mighty Queensryche are still the kings of ambiance and chaos.
