#Alive

#Alive

While it may not explore any original ground, Netflix's #Alive at least brings enough to the table to entertain during its short runtime.

It's been awhile since any new zombie flicks have come out, and to be fair, I've been a bit burnt out on them anyway, so I haven't really been keeping my eyes peeled like I used to. What really got me interested was that it was a South Korean release and honestly very few SK horror movies have disappointed me, so I gave it a shot.

While it seems to be geared toward the streamer and influencer crowds, #Alive uses social media and technology to its advantage and incorporates different aspects of tech into the storyline so that it actually benefits the characters. Again, the plot and circumstances were not original in the slightest, but the movie was at least rocking in the effects and makeup departments.

All in all I don't have too much to say. It wasn't a terrible movie, no, I have seen and instantly regretted watching terrible zombie movies. I guess what I could say was that it was cutesy, but failed to wow or surprise me in any way. It's available now on Netflix and it's not the worst way to spend your time, so give it a shot!
