Show Notes:

Episode Forty-Nine: This week we decided to discuss another big four powerhouse with a great review of Megadeth's third album So Far So Good...So What! The album was released on January 19th, 1988 on Capitol Records and it featured to new members with drummer Chuck Behler and Jeff Young on guitar. Based on the controversary around Chris and Gar, Dave decided to pivot with two members. Allegedly, he fired both bandmates for the use of heroine and he claims Chris stole band equipment to fund his drub habit.

Despite the sudden line-up change, Megadeth soldiered on and released a solid thrash album and received a good critics score in the offering. The album managed to reach the top thirty on the billboard 200, but failed to receive any commercial radioplay. The album did chart in several other countries and went certified platnium. The band went on tour with Kreator and Overkill for a number of European dates and then joined Testament and Savatage in the States. They also made an appeance at the Monsters of Rock Festival, to help cemement their legacy for So Far.

Fun Facts: Mustaine wrote some derogatory and inflammatory lyrics aimed at Chris Poland on the song Liar. He expressed his anger through the song and didn't hold back. Another noteable fact was the solo on Anarchy inThe UK was played by Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols.
