Thrashcast Episode 72: Coroner's "Dissonance Theory" album from 2025

Episode Seventy-Two: On the heels of the previous episode where the guys talked about the latest release from Testament, the trio return to talk about the brand new studio recording from thrash legends Coroner. The album entitled Dissonance Theory was released on October 17th, 2025 on Century Media Records and is the band’s sixth album in over thirty years since the release of Grin in 1993.

Dissonance Theory features new drummer Diego Rapacchietti, who replaced longtime member Marky in 2014. He is joined by Ron Broder (bass and vocals) and Tommy Vetterli on Guitar for the new material that takes a far more progressive turn, while some of their thrash roots. The results is music that updates the classic sound and expands upon what has come before in a more immersive and spectacular approach to song writing.

Fun Facts: Coroner released the first single, Renewal on August 15th, 2025 and announced the title of the new record Dissonance Theory the same day. The second single Symmetry was released a month later accompanied by a video.
