Show Notes:
Episode Thirty-Seven: This week we review the sophomore album from Demolition Hammer. Epidemic of Violence was released March 9th, 1992 and is considered a cult classic in both the thrash and death genres.
Epidemic of Violence received critical acclaim upon release from Century Media records and was produced by Tom Soares at Normandy Sound, Rhode Island, NY. Unlike their debut Tortured Existence (which was produced by Randy Burns) this album was considered much harsher and more aggressive. It leaned heavily into the death metal genre and produced lyrics about societal collapse, cannibalism and abortion.
Fun Facts: The cover art utilizes side B of Lovecraft's Nightmare and was painted by Michael Whelan. Side A of this painting was used by Obituary on their Cause of Death album.
